Touch Fin app good for
For totally inexplicable reasons, Hewlett Packard has chosen not to create an app that visually exactly mimics its physical HP-12C that we love and have been using since business school. Their offerings differ in color, number shape, and typefaces. This app completely solves the problem and fits the bill. Moreover, on a 6/7 Plus, it is actually larger than the original physical calculator, and it even computes modestly faster. Highly recommend.
Worth the money. A must have for those prepping for the CFA exam.
Some bad moments
Since the last update when you click the icon you dont have the program, you have the programmers logo by one second or something. This is not what I expect when I have a paid version, when I click the icon I want the program running ASAP.
Come on guys, you can do better.
Elvis, today updated is not working, please check it. Tks Regards
Makes a clicking noise with each keystroke. No apparent way to turn it off. Annoying.
Its compatible with iPhone 5. Works with fat fingers. Landscape and portrait mode. In conclusion, great buy.
I have tried several 12-c emulators, and this is my favorite. The first thing that appeals to me is the appearance of the LED display. I also love the size and layout of the keys. And the layout shifts for either portrait or landscape mode. The keys also show a green shadow when depressed, which helps confirm your keystrokes. Great idea! Also, this app handles complicated computations more quickly than some of the other apps, without having to flash the "running" display. Well worth the small amount I had to pay to get such a great app, and not have any ads! Thank you for a great product!
This app does what HPs actual app doesnt do – it looks like the physical HP 12C calculator we all used in business school and continue to use today. I have no idea why HP does not want its own app to be reminiscent of a calculator that so many people have such an affinity for, but for some reason they dont.
This app resolves that problem. And with the 6 Plus, this app is 7% *larger* than our actual 12Cs, so there is tremendous accuracy in punching numbers quickly. For the price of a latte at Starbucks, there is simply no reason for business users who grew up on the HP 12C not to own this calculator.
As the only app that truly looks like my beloved original 12C, this is a must-have app purchase.
